After foolishly chasing a player around for about 6 mths. I learned that he had declined my offer a few weeks ealier to accompany us to the "races" at Einsley http://www.gdaypubs.com.au/towns/einasleigh/ because, SURPRISE, his girlfriend had moved in! I resisted the temptation to take Mels advise and throw a watermelon at his house and opted to write myself off out west for a few days instead.
Fortunately for me, (and i guess if i keep this bloggin thing up you will see just how fortunate i can be), since i have no licence, my friend Jo in Adelaid had called, funny enuf when i was tryin to convince mr Player to come to Einsleigh, out of the blue and accepted my offer to drive me 5hrs West.
Jo Arrived on the Thursday and we packed for the trip. We left Friday morning. Stopped by mr players house, met the GF, went up the mountain, screamed and did the silly dance to get the A hole outa my system and off we went.
We stopped at Mt Surprise Fuel and finding a 4wd to follow us in on the 75k 4wd track cause i was in the commodore. LOL the track was rough on the car but at least we arrived with new friends already.

We arrived at Morts place, set up camp and got started drinkin.
The Kids watched TV. A real treat since we have no reception. I had met Mort on my last visit. There's a whole other story, but he had invited me back so i arrived sayin " I bet you never thought you'd see me", to which he replies "you know where everything is". Not an hour later another fella, Gary, turns up with a swag sayin exactly the same thing. Country hospitality. Gotta love it!
